Fierce. Determined. Stunning. All describe Reagan during her labor and well into her journey of Motherhood. She was, and is surrounded by strong women cheering her on every step of the way. Some of my favorite shots from this birth are the moments shared between her and her sister and mother. Reagan I am so unbelievably proud of you. How you handled labor, the grueling days that immediately followed, and now watching you rock at Motherhood. Thank you for letting me be there to love on you, support you, and bear witness to you becoming a mom. Nellie is precious and she's so blessed to call you hers!

Each birth is different. It's like they come in all colors, in all moods. Marlena was a quiet warrior, the day was peaceful, the mood was light yet covered in anticipation. She and Johnny were surrounded by the love of family and friends. The time was passed laughing, telling stories, and making sure Marlena was comfortable and rested. And even with quiet labors, somehow, we all seem to come roaring into parenthood. Some with exhalations of pain and relief, and others like Marlena and Johnny with laughter and tears. What a joy it was standing by their side, and sharing the bedside with her mother as she watched her daughter become a mother. I mean, how is this even my job?! The blessings I am privy to are beyond measure. Thank you Marlena and Johnny. Hutch is perfection!
What is better than birth photos set to sweet music? Adding video. The element of movement and sound elevate the mood and the memories to a whole different level. I've been dabbling, and learning over the past year, and finally feel confident in my new skill set to officially offer a video fusion collection to my birth stories. You can click HERE for more information. I hope you enjoy! Katie and Paul, where do I start?! Your love and support for one another was something to behold. Katie, you made natural labor look too easy. You were a vision of strength, and grace wave after grueling wave of contractions. And Paul, I watched you look at Katie like she was the most gorgeous woman in the world. Thank you for inviting me into your lives, it was an honor to be by your sides.

Emily takes the cake for booking me the earliest, and I've yet to meet a woman more ready and more qualified to be a momma. I was only witness to the end of their journey to parenthood... I was blessed to hear their testimony, watch this miracle grow inside her, and ultimately be there for sweet William's first breath. I watched the tears roll down Emily's face, I saw Joseph adore and fall in love with his wife all over again. I witnessed the birth of a miracle.
This was a post Emily made just after William was born:
When I was 11 years old, someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I've known all along: a teacher, a wife, and a mother. The first two were somewhat easy to achieve. I went to a great university, learned from gifted professors, and was hired to teach at the best school. I met Joseph in high school and after a few years of friendship, we started dating and knew two months later we wanted to get married after graduating college. Becoming a mother wasn't quite as easy, and at times it felt hopeless. I often thought it might not be a part of God's plan for my life. After 3 years of waiting, much support and prayers from family and friends, and expertise and assistance from doctors, I was able to fulfill my dream of becoming a Mom. As I lay here holding my newborn son, I am so thankful for God's goodness and His graciousness for allowing me to be Mom to this little miracle.
