These are my dear friends, who have become even more dear to me after spending the last couple of months watching them become parents. Back in November Jonathan shot an amazing video of my daughter, my husband, and myself, which can be viewed HERE. Little did I know that I was pregnant the time he shot that footage. Fast forward a few months and I was shooting their maternity session in the same location. Funny how life works out like that sometimes.
Then in March I got the phone call that Courtney had gone into labor on her actual due date! To the hospital I went. The next few hours were spent laughing, loving, sharing excitement, hugging, and supporting Courtney as she bravely labored to bring her precious boy into this world. I’ve never seen such a determined pusher, when it was go time, she didn’t mess around, and in a few short, yet powerful pushes, sweet James was finally here in his mommas arms.
Each birth is a blessing, and each time my thankfulness to be in the room, trusted with these memories never, ever diminishes. I hope you’re inspired by this beautiful birth and all the love and support that was shown to Courtney as she labored.
A special thanks to her amazing midwife, Melissa Fish, she continues to astound me in her sincerity and ability to make her patients feel like they are her only one.
